miami’s food scene in the spotlight

January 7, 2010 § 1 Comment

A few days ago, the New York Times ran the story, “In Miami, Chefs Are the New Star,” highlighting Miami’s food scene – of the “chef-focused sort.” I still think there are/were plenty of great places to eat before these new arrivals, but I do like these spots in the Design District.

This story is also good timing considering the Food and Wine Festival coming up in February. The event Wine+Dine+Design will take attendees to four different Design District spots in one night. The same chefs featured in the New York Times’ article will be playing chef and host/ess.

  • I attended this event and it was amazing! The Design District in Miami is one of those neighborhoods that although not highly visited as other parts in the city, is a place where you find some of the best food in town.
