To register, fill out registration form and email it back to email@example.comFieldwork is a rigorous 10-week workshop designed to help artists gather information about their artwork. Each week artists present developing work and receive feedback from their peers in a supportive environment. Fieldwork workshops afford artists a safe setting to receive honest and rigorous feedback about their art before it hits the stage.Fieldwork is for any emerging, mid-career or established artist looking for a new way to develop new or existing work and bring insight to their creative processes by allowing exposure to fellow artists’ feedback. One of the founding principles of Fieldwork is that it is not curated – any interested artist is able to participate. Fieldwork offers artists an opportunity to try out new ideas or take risks. This baseline of opportunity is one from which many artists have gone on to be produced by established theaters and win grants and other opportunities for their work. The Winter workshop will be facilitated by Rafael Roig, and will be held on Saturdays 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm starting January 20 through March 17, 2007. Fieldwork sessions will take place at 801 Projects, located south of downtown
Miami and a few blocks west of Brickell Ave at 801 SW 3 Ave, 2nd Floor. Works-in-progress created by participating artists will be presented and/or exhibited during FIELD DAY at 801 Projects and Camposition Studio on Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24, 2007.The 10-week workshop consists of nine 3-hour sessions once per week at 801 Projects and an informal showing open to the public at 801 Projects. Additionally, artists participating in Fieldwork sessions may have a one-hour consultation with an arts professional. Space is limited to 10 artists. The fee for the Fieldwork session is $75.00. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be due prior to the start of the Winter workshop. Spots will not be secured without a deposit. Artists are encouraged to register and send deposit as soon as possible since participation is based on a first come, first served basis.
